Garry Charnock is a founder and the CEO of Carbon Leapfrog, a City-based charity that galvanises pro-bono support from a range of sectors to help successful carbon reducing initiatives overcome hurdles to growth and expand their influence. He is a chartered civil engineer, experienced journalist and businessman and has a high profile with sustainable communities across the UK and overseas.
In 2007 he sold his 50-person technical publishing business to the RSK Group - the UK's largest privately owned environmental consultancy - and took up a seat on the board. He was recently seconded from RSK to manage Carbon Leapfrog's rapid growth. In 2010 he won a BITC 'Established Leader in Sustainability Award,' and has also gained recognition for instigating the innovative Ashton Hayes Going Carbon Neutral Project from the Energy Institute, DECC and the IVCA Clarion Awards. Garry is married to Anne and has two sons.
