Rob Blackhurst

Rob has written for publications including the International Herald Tribune, the New Statesman, The Observer, and British Journalism Review, and contributed leader columns to the Independent and Independent on Sunday. He writes regularly for the broadsheets and has covered stories ranging from the rise of Creationism in Britain, to compensation for victims of the London Bombings.

Rob was Editorial and Communications Director at the Foreign Policy Centre between 2000 and 2005. Before then, he was a Press Officer in the Cabinet Office, DTI and worked in the Foreign Office News Department during the Kosovo War.He has provided communications support for organisations including the New-York based Center on International Cooperation, the Barrow Cadbury Trust, Bertelsmann Siftung think-tank and the European Council on Foreign Relations.
